About

Fire Prevention is a blackgaze band from Colorado. They were initially just guitarist Yves Baburin and drummer James Schlener, but in 2026 they added bass player R. Dawson as they were writing their sophomore LP.

Their music has a highly distinctive tone, being filled with dreamy reverb and aggressive distorted guitars, largely thanks to their main producer, Dominic Wisniowski. Wisniowski discovered his love for music production when being a last-minute replacement engineer on the Tired Comets debut EP.
